    I started training with Laura and Elevate in June 2024 after discovering her 12-week program. At that time I had never set foot in a gym, never lifted weights and between raising my three young kids, I never prioritised time for any health or fitness. Fast forward to today and I’m now consistently training 3 to 4 times a week, and I’ve been working with Laura on my nutrition for the last 9 weeks.

    Before I started nutrition with Laura, I was eating about 1600 calories a day and although I lost some weight, I was seeing minimal progress in my body composition and my energy levels were low. Under Laura’s guidance I’m now eating 2200 calories and have lost weight, gained muscle, and completely transformed my body. Learning how to fuel my body, eat sustainably and still enjoy all the things I love has been the best investment I have ever made.

    One of my biggest hesitations about starting training was the strength of my pelvic floor after carrying and birthing 4 children in the space of 5 years but Laura providing a safe space for me to openly communicate these concerns, I have been able to strengthen my pelvic floor and am now lifting and pushing weights I never thought possible.

    The environment Laura has created at Elevate is so special and rare to find. The women I train with are inspiring, supportive and so much fun. We all come from different walks of life, but we share the same goal - to be healthy, strong, and confident and the encouragement and energy we share during every session is something I really look forward to every week.

    Because of all of this I am a better mum, a better wife, and ultimately a better person. I show up every day with more energy, more confidence, and more self-love. I am in the best shape I have ever been in and feel like I’m finally becoming the best version of myself and I know this is just the beginning.

    I cannot thank Laura enough for the amazing coach and friend she is. She is always there to cheer you on and truly wants to see you succeed. Training with Laura and being a part of Elevate has given me more than I ever thought I needed. As a mum with 3 kids under 5, all going to different schools, kinders, daycare, and juggling extracurricular activities, life can be chaotic. But I have made my health and fitness a priority and I’ve never looked back.

    I came to Laura in September last year to give back to myself and build up my strength and fitness. I was feeling super flat, tired and lost and wanted to do something intentionally for me, not just physically but mentally as well. Pre kids I was fit and active but had never had a coach before. It had been 6 years since I had done any sort of structured training. I had since had 4 back to back pregancies in 5 years. I live 40 minutes out of town, have 3 small kids, run our own business and I also work as a nurse so I am always time poor. From the beginning Laura has always being so flexible, supportive and understanding of my family life. She has constantly pushed me to achieve what she knows I am capable of even when I’m not so sure myself. I solely trained from home in my home gym initially and then started coming to group session. This is where my technique improved and Laura pushed in my weights to show me how far I could push myself at home. I also got to be surrounded by a beautiful community of like minded women all pushing and supporting each other on our individual journeys. In December I started nutrition, Laura has taught me so much about how I eat and what to eat. I was under eating, I thought I was too busy. Now I prioritise planning and prepping my meals. I’m eating more than I ever had whilst losing weight and toning my body. The ease and simplicity of working with Laura has been amazing. Everything is perfectly customized for me and Laura easily substitutes and alters things as I need. Training from home can be challenging but everything is laid out so easily on my app and I’m able to send videos of my form to Laura and she always gets back to me with tips and pointers. She is my personal cheerleader and always gives me the recognition I need to keep pushing and holds me so accountable. My mental health has improved dramatically from training and I have so much more energy. I am so proud of the progress I’ve made in just a few months and can’t wait to see how far I can take myself this year, focusing on improving my strength and body composition and preparing to have another baby next year.

    A number on the scales no longer defines me! I still remember getting up every morning, the first thing I would do is jump on the scales, hoping for a magic number. Only to be disappointed when the number fluctuated up and down, after all my hard work. Why was I letting that insignificant little number ruin my day? Whether I was that number or not it didn’t change me, but I was unaware what my body was capable of until I started with elevate coaching. I began with Laura at the beginning of 2023, firstly with group coaching sessions, and shortly added the nutrition side also. I’ve consistently been tracking on and off over the last few years, post kids and lost around 30kg, but I always strived to be leaner and more toned. I’d always consistently tracked calories and focused on steps, but I knew I had more to give. My goal this year was to become strong 💪🏻 When I come across Laura and her values and goals aligned, we quickly got to work, and my mindset completely changed. I am no longer focused on the scales, or becoming a number. My goal is to be better than I was yesterday, to increase my strength, and be mentally and physically stronger. My whole body composition has changed in only a few short months, the photo on the left I’m at my lowest weight 62kg, (hungry, tired and not eating meals with my family. No strength training only a few body weight exercises) photo on the right (67kg) fulfilled, strong and content. I’m honestly so glad we live in a world where there as so many other forms of measurement. I now focus on my strength and listen to my body and how I feel. Yes I am heavier than my lowest weight, but overall I am stronger, more satisfied and confident than ever before. Not only am I feeling strong physically, but mentally also I’m more equiped to live a lifestyle I can maintain, I can enjoy meals with my kids, and travel knowing my choices will not ruin my hard work. I wouldn’t have gotten where I am today without the support and guidance of Laura. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

    "There's so much I could say, but we'd be here awhile. I reached out to Laura 2 years ago initially wanting to lose weight but what I didn't know I was about to gain from joining Elevate would be so much more - confidence, knowledge & a better mental wellbeing. I always played sport growing up and I wasn't new to going to the gym, I was one that would go for a little while, then stop & repeat. Someone who would pull up at the gym, sit there for a bit then drive away because of gym anxiety! I stared with Elevate coaching online with the odd 1 on 1 session with Laura until a months in Laura thankfully have me a gentle push to come along to a group class which I loved and after couldn't get me out of!     As a mum of 3 young children, I am incredibly grateful for Laura and her support with my training. I started with Laura when I was 12 months postpartum with my twins.
